Year In Review 2013

We have come to the end of another year and it is a good habit and culture to document what we have planned as well as achieved throughout the year. It is a moment of excitement and worries at the same point of time, celebrating what we have achieved while regretting what we have not done.

New Year Resolution(s)

At the beginning of every year, many folks follow the habit and culture of creating a year-long task list known as the New Year Resolution. I have created one to challenge myself through this 12-month period.

Looking back at what I have set for myself, I realized that I did not complete every single challenge but at least get things done and work towards those directions, bringing myself as close as possible to the goals.

It is perfectly alright to not be able to accomplish 100% of every single challenge you have set for yourself as life is always an unexpected journey with the ups, the downs, opportunities, and obstacles to delay you from reaching your goals.

The most important take-away from this year are the lessons learned and experiences gained. Being a much more knowledgeable and wiser person than the year before, completing the challenges will become much more easier in the upcoming year.

Cosplay Photoshoot(s)

For this year, I have started joining local (Singapore) Cosplay Groups as a Cosplay Photographer. Through all these photoshoots, I have learned a lot of new lessons about Cosplay Photography as well as met and made many new like-minded comrades who share similar interests, hobbies, and even passion!

Figure Photoshoot(s)

I have also started doing outdoor Figure Photography and I hope to do more in the years to come. There are distinct differences between Cosplay Photography and Figure Photography as the scale of the subjects are different, requiring many different methods and techniques to achieve the same result as Cosplay Photography.

Events, Exhibitions, and Conventions

Ever since my very first time attending a public Anime / Comic / Game (ACG) event, Anime Festival 2008 (AFA08) back in the year 2008, I have continued to pursue my passion and attended many ACG Events, Exhibitions, and Conventions hosted locally in Singapore throughout the years.

ACG events continue to remain as one of my favorite pastimes and haunts to express my interests, hobbies, and passion as well as one of the best places to buy Anime Merchandises which are not available in our local (Singapore) retail stores.

Calendar Year 2013 Round-Up

The Calendar Year 2013 has been a very busy as well as a rocky year full of rough rides and hazardous obstacles for both Project JeForceX and myself. As the world becomes more globalized and economies continue to change rapidly, we also have to be fast in adapting to the new changes around us and adjust our plans accordingly.

Before I sign off for the year, here are some advice which I would like to share with my valued readers:
  • Health is the greatest wealth in life.
  • Without health, one cannot fully enjoy life even with a mountain load of golden treasures.
  • Reduce the amount of time you spend on the computer / smartphone / tablet.
  • Increase the amount of time you spend on exercise and activities under the sun.
