From Fate/stay night comes an upgraded version of the ultimate servant, figma Saber!
- Good Smile Company

We take a look at the second release of figma Saber: Armor Ver. which was originally released back in year 2011. I have never owned a copy of the first release myself and will not be able to tell what is the difference but will still take a look and share what I can see with my valued readers and followers. ^^;

The Product Packaging

Some figma series of character figures have bigger boxes while others have this slim-looking design.

The recent product packaging designs for the figma series have this flat-looking 'black bar' on the bottom side.

So what is the big deal about product packaging designs?
It is just a box made of hard paper isn't it?

There are many different kinds of Anime Character Figure collectors in the world. Some are collecters while others are traders looking for to buy at a low price and sell at a higher price to earn an easy profit but have to maintain the quality of the product packaging to make it look Mint-In-Sealed-Box (MISB) condition.

While there is nothing wrong with buying second hand or used products (which happened to be discontinued or has limited stock worldwide), the buyer is still the sole and final decision maker who decides whether to pay an insanely skyrocketed price.

The product packaging serves as a container to keep the product in a safe and controlled environment. It also serves as a good marketing collateral for curious on-lookers (in retail situations) who might be interested to buy this product because it looks kind of cool or something along the lines. ^^;

The Figure Itself

She comes with two similar but different swords which are Excalibur (big) and Caliburn (slim).

Both swords can be unsheathed from their scabbards to re-enact or create new and never-seen-before scenes.

Other Poses

Photo: figma Saber 2.0 wields her Excalibur sword with both hands and sporting a ferocious facial expression.

Most figma series of character figures can stand on their on even without the support.

When the real world's center of gravity does not allow you achieve certain extreme poses, this support base comes in handy.

Round-up: figma Saber 2.0

Photo: figma Saber 2.0 joins the Defense Force against the Dark Forces of Gloom.

figma Saber 2.0 has taken over figma Snow Miku's place on my desk and joined the legion of defenders against the forces of gloom that plague this desk. This is how she looks like alongside with other figma character figures. ^^;
